All I can recommend to people is Diaspora. There's good content, humour, nice photo layout and some interesting people. It's the closest you're gonna get to Google plus.

It seems that every app developer is trying to cash in on Facebook's drop in popularity. But the apps are crap. They're clunky, don't download photos properly or freeze.

To what extent has Tumblr's new censorship rules affected its membership levels ?

Some of the people who develop these numerous social media apps available on Google play must be fly by, overnighters who soon lose interest in the app and the quality which was there initially soon deteriorates.

Does anyone know which country UNHU originates from ? It seems to be a pretty reliable app.

I'm not a technically savvy person with apps but I've noticed that Mastodon and Diaspora use up more data than say Twitter. Why is that ?
