B R E A K I N G N E W S Google+ will be shut down August 2019 Dear Google+ friends, I have just been notified by Jörg Walossek (Thank you so much Jörg!) that Google apparently plans to close our Google+ platform in August 2019 . We are all here for a variety of reasons. Some for an amusing pastime, others for networking with experts in their subject areas, but many - perhaps even the majority - that focus on the business aspect. That's why I think it is absolutely necessary to share this information with you immediately. There exists already a community called Google+ Mass Migration which publishes the latest information on the further development of this topic. At the same time, this community provides a forum to discuss possible alternatives together, should Google really decide to switch off Google+ .
