Ferdiverse is a good first stop to get a detailed information and an overview of possible (open) alternatives. As a first measure, I created a clean mastodon account. Raffzahn at Mastodon.Bayern Not sure if that's a durable solution, as Mastodon is way more like Twitter than G+ ... still, maybe we can find some community to enhance it? After all, it's open source, and there are some rather good developers on G+ (well, still).
