Everything You Need to Know About Facebook Groups

Facebook Pages & Groups I am researching the difference between "Pages" and "Groups" on Facebook. From what I have read so far, Facebook Groups are the closest thing on the Internet to what we know as "Communities" on Google+. If anyone knows of options other than Facebook Groups that are similar to G+ communities, please supply me with links to the websites that offer those options. I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you, "Musical One" https://www.lifewire.com/facebook-groups-4103720

Google+ has disabled comments on their posts, and I don't blame them.

Originally shared by Musical One Google+ has disabled comments on their posts, and I don't blame them... They were probably annoyed with people leaving negative comments for them. If people really want Google to keep Google+ going, being respectful will work better to convince them than being rude. Pass it on!

Not grieving yet! Please read!

Not grieving yet! Please read! Originally shared by Musical One If You Want to Save G+, Stand Up! Keep using it until the bitter end! I'm not going to let Google take this place away from us without standing up for us! I'm going to sign and share every petition to save G+ that comes my way. I'm going to post comments on the G+ page and send feedback. I'm also planning to stay here until the day Google shuts us down. In the meantime, I think it is important for all of us who want to save G+ to be as active as we have time for until the final day. Google needs to see that there are still hundreds of thousands of people still using G+. If we become inactive, abandon G+ or delete our accounts, it sends the message to Google that we're giving in and just allowing them to forcefully take away something we love. This doesn't mean we shouldn't start accounts with other social media sites or save our posts elsewhere in preparation for a shutdown. It just means that ...

Switch to MeWe?

Originally shared by Musical One Switch to MeWe? As we decide what to do in the wake of G+'s shutdown, many of us are considering or starting to use MeWe. MeWe is Facebook's current top competitor. I'm guessing, based on articles such as this, that no social media site even has a chance at beating Facebook's popularity. I'm not one to care about what is popular/ what most people are doing, however, my fear is that MeWe and probably other social media sites are likely to fail just as G+ has. To me, G+ is WAY better than Facebook in many ways, such as collections and categories within communities. I know most of you would agree with that (right?). BUT... As great as G+ is, it failed and is shutting down. The same thing can and most likely will occur to the "non-Facebook" sites we choose to replace G+. Something to think about...
