Why the MeWe App is/was missing from the Apple Store, quoted from the MeWe CEO. (Missing Emojis) UPDATE: New "Search" Live Next Week on MeWe's iOS App Hey Awesome Members! I know there are still questions going around about MeWe's iOS App - which is back in the Apple Store as of 3 days ago after a brief hiatus. Previously I wrote to you all that we were harassed by Apple two weeks ago for protecting our members by blurring NSFW pics - giving our members a warning and letting you click through the warning only if you chose to. Well strangely that "click" option violated Apple's rules and they took us out of the store. They kept us out of the store for more than a week while they gave us bizarre BS reason after reason every time we resubmitted. So we finally wrote to Tim Cook about Apple's unfair aggressive tactics against MeWe. After all, we do exactly what Tim says the world needs - a social network that protects people's privacy and never targe...

Ended up deleting #MeWe and #Minds.

Ended up deleting #MeWe and #Minds. None of those "alternative" social media environments are my cup of tea, obviously. I'll accept G+'s demise - even deleting my blogger I'm using since 2009. I have about.me/keremgo as my front page & probably build a simple blog on Wix when I have time. Take care everyone and thank you for your amazing contributions in this group. #FarewellG+ http://about.me/keremgo

Where to go after Google+

Originally shared by Jessica Meyer Where to go after Google+ After trying out #Minds and #MeWe for about a week I'm definitely enjoying #Minds more. I can already read my feed there to receive the most important news about what's going on in #science and #technology. It's still not as complete as here, but there's lots of good stuff, with the plus side that there's less junk posts as well. I guess people just have to know who to follow ;) MeWe is more like Facebook, you need to follow each other to see the posts, there's still no public posting, not even inside the platform (although they say it's coming). I've already received spam "friendship" request at MeWe and I also don't enjoy that they officially use faul words in their description and emails. At least at the moment Minds is much better and more interesting in my opinion. I'm trying to be active there daily, so check me out: www.minds.com/JessicaMeyer I'm finding it a great...

10 Best Alternatives to Facebook: This article fails to mention that MeWe charges monthly fees for storage...

10 Best Alternatives to Facebook: This article fails to mention that MeWe charges monthly fees for storage exceeding 8 gigs and there's also a fee-based chat. Click the Cloud icon at the top of your MeWe page to see the monthly fees. If you post a lot of images and gifs, you might hit the 8 gigs limit over time. I was told by Martina Neumayer that to avoid those limits just use some external storage which allows you direct linking to other services. For example, Mega has something like that. Static images will display through links on MeWe. They will have a preview in the post. If someone wants to have full resolution, then they need to click on it and will be redirected to the source image. A bit different is with the animations (anim gifs). Some of them are displayed, some only with previews and need to click to play, and some will be as links. I think this depends directly on the gif file. MeWe is a markdown-based page, that means you can use all markdown language tags, opti...

Tech and Coffee have created a MeWe presence

Tech and Coffee have created a MeWe presence Originally shared by Tech and Coffee Google Plus will be shutting it's consumer side within the next 10 Months. I just found out MeWe just made Pages available.

I just found out MeWe just made Pages available. So I quickly snapped up pages for Gazing Skyward TV, Trinity Aviation Solutions and The Flying Cloud. Come on over and give them a follow if you are interested in aviation. I am feeling pretty confident MeWe is going to be my new platform of choice. Gazing Skyward TV https://mewe.com/p/gazingskywardtv Trinity Aviation Solutions https://mewe.com/p/trinityaviationsolutions The Flying Cloud https://mewe.com/p/theflyingcloud Also don't forget to follow my profile. https://mewe.com/i/johnchvatal If you are over there on MeWe, post links to your profiles in the comments. I want to connect with people who love aviation and are in the field of WordPress web development. I also have an interest in online privacy. So I may be posting about that over there in the future... #avgeek #MeWe #GooglePlusMigration

The Philosophy community is the most organised I've seen yet

The Philosophy community is the most organised I've seen yet On their sixth update of their ongoing migration project. The earlier posts are linked from this one. For comparison. Originally shared by Eric Bright Update 6 on the migration 2018-10-14: Things are going much better than what I initially expected on MeWe. A few of our philosophers are already posting there and are getting fine responses from new and old/refugee members. My guess is that MeWe will be the next home for our awesome philosophy community since it already has everything we need. If our experiment goes well, it will be very easy to recommend and encourage everyone to move over to MeWe if they so choose. Since registering on MeWe does not cost a lot of time, I suggest our members to make an account in there and join us at MeWe to get a clear sense of what it has to offer. You will not lose too much. You can always delete your account if you don't like it. On the one hand, I am making this suggestion bas...

This is the first in a series of posts to elicit personal experiences and feelings about potential alternatives to G+. I'm hashtagging the series #GooglePlusAlternativeReviews. This one is for MeWe. Please comment about your experiences with MeWe, if you have some, and how it feels to use it. Is it easy to use? Do you get much feedback? That sort of thing. I'm not looking for features or politics here. Thanks! #MeWe

VIDEO (54 mins) — MeWe CEO specifying all the little details.

Originally shared by Hugo Diaz VIDEO (54 mins) — MeWe CEO specifying all the little details. I've seen a lot of people talking about MeWe, so I figured I'd put this link here, since it's got a little more than 350 views and it's the MeWe CEO talking about the platform, in-depth. The Search for a new Social media platform:

The Search for a new Social media platform: As Google+ will stop existing for private persons within the next 10 months, my search for a new online "home"continues. MeWe is an alternative more and more people talks about. Here is an interesting post from Hugo Diaz which is worth to take a closer look at. The complete interview is worth to listen to, because it gives a glipmpse of insight regarding the founders thoughts about privacy and social media online. May this be a real alternative to the FB world and a good alternative to Gplus? Listen , and think about the founders points and point of view regarding these topics and questions. Google+ sunsets in August 2019.

Google+ sunsets in August 2019. Many Google+ers have gone to MeWe. You might be considering it too. Here's a MeWe sample account page. MeWe charges monthly for storage over 8GB. MeWe reminds me of Facebook. It has a feature that allows you to create private groups. If you post a lot of content, to remain a free MeWe user you'll have to delete content before it reaches 8GB of storage or pay a monthly storage fee (see attachment on fees). #GooglePlusMigration #MeWe #GooglePlusAlternative #Alternative #SocialMedia

Re: #MeWe #showstopper #pay_for_storage

Re: #MeWe #showstopper #pay_for_storage Default #storage space limited to max. #8GB? More only if you pay? Whatever you create/post (groups, images, posts) adds up to that limit? :-o ---------------- This is a German post that alleges the above.
