I am still here and I will be on GOOGLE PLUS til the bitter end/. Tuesday is my next YouTube posting day and I expect to still promote it here. (by "here" i mean the specific communities dedicated to YouTube video promo or the subject of the video) I really really have loved my years on this Google Plus platform. I even got to meet some of you in real life at SoConTaj which was held in Atlantic City New Jersey at the Trump Taj Mahal hotel casino. Web Archival using Webrecorder Webrecorder is a tool I've just learned about in the past week, and only just tried in the past hour. It is a Web-based tool for recording and downloading online content, and may be useful for those preserving some Google+ content. This is a very novice quick HOWTO. It's sad but Google+ closes in my country they already start to disable Google+ accounts so I'm part of Google today to disable my Google+ account I could just access it through Gmail because I was getting notifications from Google+ on Gmail I'm on MeWe Twitter and Facebook with my same name and profile except on Facebook my profile is my cat

Many thanks to Edward Morbius and all the contributors to this group, for helping so many of us make informed decisions about where to go next. I've decided to head to the federated services worlds, starting with Mastodon and Pluspora. I don't want a single corporate owner to own the ability to arbitrarily switch off my whole community again. I choose this one value ahead of other factors, like the current size of the community, the 'polish' of the UI, the integrations with my mobile devices ... Others will make different decisions, and they won't all be wrong :-) We all enjoyed G+, so take that sense of enjoyment and improve whatever service you end up using!

Hi, The "photos from posts" album will be deleted, the album is auto created by G posts. The problem is me have many albums in "photos from posts"(about 1000+ or so), all following a YYYY/MM/DD naming scheme, that contain usually 1 photo, there's no option to download all the album archive at once and I have to manually select the albums and download each image. Is there a way to download all the album archive? Many Thanks!

How to make the JSON takeouts into something readable by humans ? I'm looking for tools to preview the content of my Google takeouts (json) locally, since I haven't done a full export using the supposedly more reliable F+M exporter. If such tools don't exist, should I just create an HTML takout ? I don't know what to do with these json exports that doesn't involve uploading somewhere else

In hopes that it will help some of the procrastinators.. 1450 posts more than 6000 comments, first post in February 2012. I was obviously into cameras back then. Forget about Google TakeOut in any format. But particularly in html format. It will save the text of your posts and some information around it, but most of it will be gone with G+, as it contains links to G+ addresses. This is also true for the Json format. I ended up using Google + Exporter (and shelling out the $20 because I have more than 800 posts in my stream). But, although the archives are more complete and the export controls are much more detailed than Google's Takeout, that is still not enough. As many of the media links head back into g+. Does anyone know the best way to save photos in posts I've +1-ed? I've used the Friends+Me software and it grabbed a bunch of images, but I'm not sure if they include all the images I've +1-ed. And I've got the JSON files from communities, but I can't figure out if there's a file that includes those +1's. Google's own Takeout says it includes +1's, but I think that's only for other websites that aren't G+. Another thing I'm wondering is whether using a tool for archiving websites would be of any use. I apologize if these are questions that have been asked already; I honestly don't have time to search the community right now on mobile and I've only got like one more day to do this, so... Archival of top ~100k G+ Community homepages only in process completed I'd posted a listing of the top 103,000 or so Google+ communities by the criteria of > 100 members and activity within the previous 30 days (to when the analysis was made). This is the bulk of active communities on G+, though a small fraction of the 8.1 million total communities. This is NOT a full Community archive. Rather, it is a breadcrumb (or set of breadcrumbs) which can be used to join SignalFlare posts to future homes, by creating a permanent archive of the community homepage. Final, final, Takeout I've just run the big posts takeout and it completed in a normal and acceptable time of 5 minutes or so. So it feels like it should be possible and no problem to do one last final takeout on Monday 1-April. My image problems are still there but they are confined to only a few posts. It's obviously not going to get fixed now. I doesn't look like we'll get a usable Communities download either that includes comments.

Hi, I am trying to save my Google+Collections. I used it for storing links, text, images and my comments. Basically, it was a handy notepad and a catalog for work. Now I'm trying to download my info through google archive (both in html and json formats) and all I get is this (please the image below). The link there is not working. Is there any way to save the actual links, images and my comments to them? I have thousands of posts in my collections and it'll be very problematic to save them by hand. Also, I'm so upset this option will no longer be available cause there's no alternative. Separate google collections feature is no near as handy. Thank you.
