So to further muddy the waters, despite Google's claim that they will delete the site and all associated accounts, a Reddit thread reports that Internet Archive is planning to archive G+ for posterity. What if, like me, you have posted your intellectual property (copyrighted artworks) to the site? Would you agree that the wisest thing to do is to delete the account, asap, further accelerating the race against time... and anyway, wasn't this planned for August? https://www.theverge.com/2019/3/17/18269707/internet-archive-archiveteam-preserving-public-google-plus-posts

I would have appreciated it if Google provided a voluntary registry where users could leave contact links, a public directory to be open for, say two years. Also, there is much talk about the archiving of the site by Internet Archive, which draws concerns about whether such information should be archived, since personal stuff inadvertently gets mixed in to this. But what about the archiving of copyrighted materials? Intellectual property? Don't their authors have a say in whether their stuff gets archived, i.e.Published somewhere? After all, there is nothing in the terms of service about archiving and Google has publicly stated that the accounts are being deleted, NOT archived.
