Yet another Steemit frontend.

Yet another Steemit frontend. DLike is more for curators who want to share links and pictures (memes) they found elsewhere on the internet. There are quite a few Google+ user who do precisely that and will be right at home with dlike. There will be Android app soon as well. https://dlike.io https://dlike.io

Another Steemit based social network. This time specialised in the STEM postings.

Another Steemit based social network. This time specialised in the STEM postings. Articles are curated and you can decide to only see curated articles (or all of you like). Apart from that there is nothing special but it show how flexible Steem is and how Steem, Like Google, offerers multiple services with one backend. This was one of the greatest advantages of Google+: the intergration with GMail, Google-Photos, Google-Contacts, Google-Calender and Hangout. Sadly not much is left from that integration. https://www.steemstem.io/ https://www.steemstem.io/

What many new users of Steemit don't notice is that creating fully functional account on the https://steem.io/ blockchain isn't free. The miners need to be payed and account creation cost about $15 in total. Not many users will open an account under these conditions so https://signup.steemit.com/ offers free account if you are prepared to pay with your mobile phone number and a two week waiting line. If you think your mobile phone number is worth more then $15 there here are some alternatives: https://steemit.com/steemit/@gmichelbkk/4-ways-to-create-a-new-account-on-steem https://steemit.com/steemit/@gmichelbkk/4-ways-to-create-a-new-account-on-steem

I am using Minds for quite a while now even before a lot of the current feature where available.

I am using Minds for quite a while now even before a lot of the current feature where available. Minds tries to be a full features alternative to Facebook and as offers a large variety of features which one might miss on first glance: • Plain text newsfeed • Rich text Bog • Pictures upload • Videos upload • Chat function • Groups with newsfeed and conversations. • An Android app Many user only use the Plain text news feed where you can only add a single picture, video or link. However, Minds also has a full featured blog which allows for rich text postings with multiple pictures or videos: https://www.minds.com/blog/view/853925981017440256?referrer=krischik Many Google+ user will miss there communities for which Minds has Groups as replacement. Minds is open source and run by company which only does Minds and nothing else. For them the success of Minds is paramount and you notice whenever you use the Help and Support group. They really want to make Minds a success. Last not least is th...

I am using Steemit for 10 month now. Not as long as Minds. Steemit itself is only one front end for the underlying http://steem.io blockchain, dapps and steem cryptocurrency. Unlike Minds both blockchain and cryptocurrency is a must. But also unlike Minds you can sell your Steem on various crypto exchanges. One Steem is currently at about one US$. Since there are several front ends I like to explain the most important five. ⑴ https://steemit.com This is standard bogging site which offer markdown rich text blogging. Here the posting I used as and example for Minds on Steemit: https://steemit.com/deutsch/@krischik/schmiedeglut-gemuesemesser-damast-mooreiche One can see that markdown offers more freedom in the design of your posting. On Minds I made separate postings for German and English. On Steemit I was able to to both in one posting. ⑵ https://busy.org/ Also a standard text blogging but with a nicer user more polished interface. This is the front end I use the most. Same posting aga...

There is also Steemit.

There is also Steemit. It's a bit more complicated to use but it has an API and lot's of parter sites which build on it. https://steemit.com/ A few of the partner sites to check out: Text Blog: https://busy.org Audio Blog: https://dsound.audio Video Blog: https://d.tube Photo Blog: https://alpha.steepshot.io Steemit also has a cryptocurrency. But don't expect to get rich. I suggest it as it has a lots of functions because of the various sites building on it. https://busy.org
