Our team is working on some product upgrades which are taking priority and April 2nd is approaching quickly. We (LifeCloud http://www.lifecloud.site ) asked in a previous post about the need/interest for a Data Import tool that would allow us (LifeCloud) to pull your Takeout export directly from your Google Drive account. The effect of this would be that there would never be memory issues and you can do it directly from your phone. EVERYBODY could then, at the very least, have a place to store their G+ Data before the shutdown. This is no small task but the demand seems to be there so we will in fact be endeavouring to create the new G+ Data Import Tool for you. We estimate the project will take about a week and we will keep you up with our progress. Hello All. We are considering upgrading our G+ Data Importer which would allow us to pull your Takeout export directly from your Google Drive account. Currently you have to download the zip file and upload it into our importer. This would mean there would never be memory issues and you can do it directly from your phone. EVERYBODY could then, at the very least, have a place to store their G+ Data before the shutdown. However this is no small effort and will take us several days to build. With G+ shutting down in short order we want to see if there is still demand for this type of importer or if we will be spinning our wheels. Let us know please. The shutdown is approaching quickly and the competition for the hearts and minds of G+ Migrants intensifies. With many of the platforms providing viable alternatives for communities LifeCloud would like to briefly offer up some of it's other features that may be appealling outside of the community/social aspect of our platform. Lifecloud https://www.lifecloud.site was created to provide a place where our members can consolidate their online lives and reduce the clutter of current platforms needed to achieve their digital needs. To that end our platform, through the use of pre-built (personal, productivity, social, etc) and custom dashboards, allows members to build their own online experience. Down to having the option to do it from their own domain. Think of a combination of G+, Evernote, Wix, Dropbox, Shutterstock and more. We have been seeing a lot of new members joining this community since G+ named April 2nd as it's drop dead date. It is a way for Community Owners to recreate and "rehydrate" your communities on LifeCloud and a way for individuals to migrate all your collections and posts. LifeCloud has just done another major upgrade to our G+ Data Importer. Previously the importer relied on following certain paths to the imported files which did not work if the expected paths weren't in the exact format and not in the English language. With Google+ closing shop in April we would like to throw our hat In the ring as a place to migrate your community Over the last few weeks we have been specifically improving on our Community component to be attractive to Google + Migrants. We have created a community specially for you to help you with your transitions away from G+.
