Cross-commenting Universal Social Blog client idea

Cross-commenting Universal Social Blog client idea The prospect of migrating my posts and comment threads has focused my idea of what I really want in a social media application. And I think this is it: 1) New Blog entries are crossposted to multiple social media sites. 2) Comments from one site are cross-posted to other sites, so everyone participates in the same replicated comment thread. For example, if someone posts a comment to my pluspora post, replica quote comments are commented onto the G+ and Mastodon posts. 3) Local storage of my Blog, including comment threads. 4) Ability to migrate my Blog (including comment threads) to any new social media site/pod. Two things everybody can do to create a better alternative

Two things everybody can do to create a better alternative If you do not code: Software like Mastodon runs on Open, recommended Protocols (see below). The awesome people who made this possible are volunteers from the W3C Social Working Group. They need some money because without bread they can't write. The co-author of ActivityPub can be backed up on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/cwebber/overview Awareness and working on the other protocols can be supported via indieweb on OpenCollective: https://opencollective.com/indieweb If you code, just do it. But comment here, we organise and sponsor a Hackathon to create communities right before FOSDEM ! The specifications for ActivityPub, MicroPub, WebSub and WebMention all reached the W3C Recommendation level (the highest level). https://www.w3.org/TR/activitypub/ https://www.w3.org/TR/micropub/ https://www.w3.org/TR/websub/ https://www.w3.org/TR/webmention/ https://opencollective.com/indieweb
