On Social Media

#signalflare As per the moderator's instruction in another unrelated thread: I've begun a blog at stevedisque.wordpress.com It's a music-and-arts blog: so far, book reviews and links to CD reviews; I'll be including reviews of performances (concerts, theatre, and film) as I see things! It's possible to subscribe via WordPress itself or Feedly (app or web); I've not yet figured out how to set up an RSS feed. (WordPress is not exactly intuitive. I keep finding useful features in unexpected menus.) I've also opened a supporting Instagram at @stevedisque, though that's less effective, since the captions can't (or don't) include active links to the blog posts and reviews. Perhaps I'll eventually end up on PashPost (for the book groups) -- I'll be announcing these things in the blog, as and when they might happen. I'm slightly amused by the fact that, with so much activity on the "Google+ Mass Migration" community, I no longer even see posts from the other outfits I follow (e.g., Czech Radio)! In that respect, I'm getting less utility from G+ than I'd planned. Still waiting and watching to see where people end up. So far, I see a lot of activity on behalf of Diaspora and MeWe -- neither of which I'd even heard of before all this started.
