Friendica and Mononyms Just a short note regarding #mononyms on #Friendica (or at least on the #Libranet instance, as I haven't tested others yet): During registration I could not register with a mononym; it expected a First Name and Last Name. From the #Nymwars I remembered the workaround that Google Plus uses, namely substituting the last name with a single period. This fortunately worked, but the period was however visible in the name. Not only that, but it had downcased everything but the first letter. Fortunately both issues can be fixed by editing your name in your profile after registration . Worth noting though that I also had some issues with password generation, possibly because of my attempt to register with a mononym.
