I'm slightly amused by the fact that, with so much activity on the "Google+ Mass Migration" community, I no longer even see posts from the other outfits I follow (e.g., Czech Radio)! In that respect, I'm getting less utility from G+ than I'd planned.

Still waiting and watching to see where people end up. So far, I see a lot of activity on behalf of Diaspora and MeWe -- neither of which I'd even heard of before all this started.

  1. You can go into the settings for the group and reduce the number of posts that go into your main stream, Steve Vasta. Or turn them off entirely, so that you have to actually visit the group to see the posts there.

  2. Michael J. Coffey Thanks for the tip -- just another way of managing these things that I wasn't aware of. (For all that online pages are supposedly
"intuitive," even what's possible isn't always obvious.)

Of course, I'm not the sort to go actively looking into the Community. (In the early days of the Web, I always favored subscription mailing lists, putting posts in my inbox, to those discussion groups that required my actually visiting the sites.) If I miss Czech Radio (etc.) too much, I will follow your advice!

  3. Steve Vasta -- One of the things small business owners hire me to do is show them how to use G+. So I have a few tricks up my sleeve. :)
