Yllka Kastrati,

Yes. More than ever.

The question for American society has been for some time, will mental health ever be elevated to the same level of concern & support as physical health? Will mind builders ever be as sexy or popular as athletes?[1]

Along with its high infectivity and fatality rates, the 2019 Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) has caused universal psychosocial impact by causing mass hysteria, economic burden and financial losses. Mass fear of COVID-19, termed as “coronaphobia”, has generated a plethora of psychiatric manifestations across the different strata of the society.[2]

What happens when an entire society experiences Post-Traumatic Stress Syndrome?[3] Hopefully, recovery. But how?[4] [5] [6][7]

Best of luck to all of us!

-Jeff
