They must love/hate me. I still have the bell-widget (laptop/chrome browser) and some notices from today. FWIW, I'm in NY, one of their big server/hubs I'd guess. I figured it out. It's not a bell, it's a bomb. Tick-tick-tick....
And my red 1 just lit up with notification of your post! Checking now, also have a lit notice button on my iPhone/G+ app. Conclusions: 1) YMMV - depending on device and location 2) The day is not over (still a sunny afternoon here in the Americas, and morning in Hawaii!). Ayeee!
British Bob "Just opens latest post and freezes there." I had similar issues last night... would freeze on the same 2 or whatever notices, take me there, but not disappear or update on the widget. (Everything as normal via the notifications option, left side panel, Chrome). Definitely the (demolition) engineers are "snipping wires" here and there before tripping the off switch. (IMM)
My G+ mobile app has been buggy yesterday and today. It sometimes doesn't do anything and then I come back an hour later and it opens fine. (I'm on the latest version of G+, latest update of Android, Samsung Galaxy S9+.)
British Bob picturing an NCIS episode with LLCoolJ working the wires on an imminently exploding bomb. BUT... What I'm really seeing/feeling (the wires analogy) might be more like Jenga, pulling out one bit at a time while the tower teeters. Choose your image! Just as long as we're all able to look back in a while, and say "that was a great period", and "I'm happy for the memories, for where we found new homes, and for what remains and souvenirs."
Well, I'm going back to watching. Funny how we (immigrants/migration group members) seem to be among the few people left in the (finally) ghost town.
Some of his us ghosts will hover a while longer, and hopefully this horrid and evil action w/ G+ haunts Google!
There's a new version out since February. It's actually been Play Store mucking up for me and not keeping things up to date. Anyway, I had to clear cache and app data to get mine back on after it finally updated. Remember that old trick?
Woa! I thought I was dreaming but... same here. I didn't register anything different until I did a double-take - because first thing I saw was the bell - back there in its spot and lit up! Still hoping it's all a big April Fool's Day, and G+ realized they're the fools.

Damn their eyes!
Seems to be dead on my Android Nougat powered phone. The G+ app just hangs trying to load. Cleared cache and even did an uninstall and reinstall.
ReplyDeleteDon McCollough did the same (given earlier comments) maybe you should go the the App Store 🤣

ReplyDeleteStill working fine for me. Did you try force quitting the app and opening again? Also, what version app do you have installed?
ReplyDeleteWorks fine on my iPhone.
