  1. Yeah. Started a few days ago. Why didn't they do that before? It's better than the widget they removed.

  2. It never left you just got used to going full page because of the convenient little bell icon being displayed.

  3. Now they also mark posts by the owner and moderators in communities. They're also adding the ability to tag posts with topics, sort of like collections but more powerful. Maybe they'll add the ability to make private posts public and vice-versa, like some of us have wanted since 2011. Of course, this will only be in the enterprise version, which will be of extremely limited value considering that a company can no longer share its posts with the public. I expect that to eventually shut down as well.

  4. Glad you noticed too - and posted this. (DIdn't just want to post a "hey, did you see that too?") Not only have I suddenly been getting notifications (number) which is nice, but for a few brief moments, the whole thing lit up red. Wow. Be careful with the wiring G+! But now it's sort of intermittent, the notices not being "pushed" always, last few hours. Ah, the feeling of disorientation and missing digits.... ack!

  5. Phillip Landmeier The Notifs panel itself was more useful for responding to items, FWIW.

  6. Edward Morbius Agreed, for working our way down the notices to read them. Though Mr. Jingles - especially on desktop - was a nice "notice" alert (IMHO). Ah well.... it's all just a dream.

  7. Causa Est Malleus The Notifications bell was. The counter was not until a week or so back.

  8. Edward Morbius I find your claim that google has added features to something they are killing to be unbelievable.

  9. They're prepping it for the paying users.

  10. Causa Est Malleus As Halfey Halphstein said: Google+ itself isn't being killed, just the "Consumer" availability. The site will live on as a paid enterprise product.
