In an effort to get some of this Communities original categories to display, I am adding hashtags to the comments on some of your posts, such as #ConsiderationsAndFeatures. I am also adding #SignalFlare. I do not know whether the new hashtags in comments will display as Labels in [ https://gplusmigration.blogspot.com/ ] but will give it a try.

What I have noticed on our archival site is that the more than 400 posts with the Edward Morbius label display, while labels with fewer posts pertaining to Community categories do not. Mystery!

  1. Jeff Diver appreciated. I plan on mining that archive after the shutdown.

  2. Jeff Diver: What's your plan for keeping this updated / capturing final activity on G+MM?

(I hope it's "actively pursuing", love what you're doing here.)

  3. Edward Morbius I have been doing a daily update recently. "The plan" is to do a final update late on 1 April Eastern daylight saving time. I don't know whether Google is on Pacific or Greenwich Mean time, so to be safe, I suppose I might do the final update around 7pm EDST on 1 April. Then I'll just push it to see how late I can update. As I understand it, Britain will go on DST this weekend (just to make things complicated).

Entering hashtags in the comments fields of G+ posts hasn't proven helpful in resolving the label non-display issue.

However, Blogger changes have taken effect to some extent. I will have to work on the Blogger side of things after the last update, as I think the updates may be reverting some changes to original settings. (Speculation, hopefully informed)

After Google+ or sooner (Still reading up on this at smallbusiness.chron.com - How to Set Up a Guest Post on Blogspot | Chron.com and elsewhere) I have the option of allowing up to 100 folks to post to the archival blog I have set up [ https://gplusmigration.blogspot.com/ ] if they provide their email address so that I can invite them. A contact form for this purpose and others is under the "hamburger" icon on the archival site.

I have never done this before and don't know how guest posting would work, but would be willing to try this for owners/mods and frequent posters in this community.

Once I have their emails, guest posters could be invited by me to become "administrators," too, with the authority to change things around and add or delete features, guest posters or other admins (including me if I become grouchy and disagreeable).

Blogger could in this way function (clumsily) as a tiny Community with limited participation, but universal public viewing and feedback via the contact form.

  4. Edward Morbius P.S. As I am a GSuite account owner, I see there is another possibility that might allow only me to view this Community in my GSuite domain arnoldtradecards.com after G+ demise as follows per Google:

"This non-domain restricted community isn’t owned by someone with a G Suite account. Unless a G Suite user becomes an owner of this community before April 2, 2019, it will be deleted."

I don't really want any other "owner" responsibilities and don't know how this would be arranged, but it is an option.
