Nostalgia for Google Hangouts

Nostalgia for Google Hangouts
In these waning days, it occured to me members of this group might enjoy visiting an archive of excerpts from old Hangout on Air. Maybe someday I'll repackage them into a more proper historical context, but in the meantime, enjoy.

To all, live long and prosper. \\//,

  1. FWIW... Sorry to jump in (but somehow missed the first go-round).Saw her name on the "door" and I lit up. A hello-going-away-farewell gift for anyone who's a fan of Temple Grandin, her story, and her wisdom:

  2. Michael Fenichel, the serendipity of Gplus.
    Thanks for the share.

  3. Serendipity indeed. With the twilight of g+ I’ve found so many interesting leads on things to follow up post g+. Like this one here. Thankyou. A small silver lining at least.

  4. You're welcome! I've now been inspired to re-post this to Pluspora/diaspora* where I note many tagging with #psychology interest. Some good discussions there, though no "groups" or "communities" per se, beyond DIY tag-based groups/discussions

Back at you, Spock..."live long and prosper". The logical thing.

  5. Michael Fenichel, thank you for your kind words.
You likely will be interested in seeing all eight Temple Grandin "Golden Nuggets" and the original interview ...

  6. Thank you Scott Scowcroft . I'm guessing I was standing next to Mia during all of this, but I'd not recorded it or taken notes (standing up along the front of the convention room as the crowd left and some lingered to interview Temple). Lovely Q&A, and quality snippets.

I just had to check for a second to ask, "where am I?" Oh yes, Google+, which means this thread and all around are only "living on borrowed time" now (John Lennon). This may be the last day or two this conversation exists! :(( Bookmarked your page, maybe you'd like to do that with my article, because... this whole world (G+) is here for the last weekend. Though fortunately the larger web lives on.

Glad we had the chance meeting "here", while here is here.
Best regards.. Wishing you and G-plussers all peace & joy.

  7. It's a pleasure having met you Michael Fenichel, a testament to the power of GPlus even right up to the end.

I've taken the liberty to link to your great article on my "Conversation with Dr. Temple Grandin" page thescotttreatment.com - A Conversation wtih Dr. Temple Grandin – The SCOTT Treatment

Perhaps someday we'll somehow "cross paths" on the other side.

    Take care.
