Official Android Beta Program Community Moving To Reddit
It's interesting they're choosing a non-Google platform, but they certainly could do worse than Reddit. :)

I suspect a lot of the current community members are already on Reddit, so it's not a bad match. And there really isn't a Google alternative (there are Groups, but that is really for email + desktop - there's no good mobile interface).
