  1. Thank you, for being you, and providing you, to the beauty of this human bouquet of intelligence.

  2. What a lovely comment!

It's funny: unlike many of you, I never really forged any personal relationships on here - I used the site mostly for publicity of reviews and events - but I still feel quite bad about the impending closure.

  3. Steve Vasta And that's why you never forged any personal relationships here. Plussers were never interested in people who promoted anything. I'm sorry you missed out on the opportunity.

  4. Tessa Schlesinger What you describe may well have been a function of the Communities I belonged to. The classical-music groups, for example, were mostly full of links to YouTube videos of concerts -- no one seemed really to be discussing anything. The book groups should have been more promising, but my two-line summaries never got more than a nibble or two of reaction. So perhaps my interests were themselves at fault!

  5. Steve Vasta The thing is that if people wanted to listen to videos, they could take themselves to youtube. They don't need to have sombody post videos on G+. G+ was for discussions! I often think that the reason they're shutting us down is because we are a bunch of geeks, and it was pretty much iimpossible to get us into a buying mood.

  6. Tessa Schlesinger Exactly, they just didn't make enough money with G+, that's why they're shutting it down. For Google its all about the money.
