Greg X what I'm guessing is that the authentication is through the Google account and not the Google plus one. If that's the case the g+ can already be switched off and the since button logo wasn't changed its misleading.

It is very possible that many people will choose to migrate their online social networking from Google plus to a set of platforms rather than just one platform. In some cases content providers have established their own platform.
I expect to move most of my social content and public service work to places like MeWe, reddit, and Pinterest. This new set of tools is a far weaker set of capabilities and resources than the Google Plus platform presently offers, particularly for what I do.

I let people know that, and also made know my G+ collection Google Plus Migration. That post was yesterday struck down by some troll moderator on this group. And it was an important technical post, because it included word of the new massive failure of Facebook "security". So the strikedown was really counter-productive.
Here's the real story. The good guys are gonna win. That clearly includes MeWe, and it includes me. Because real communication needs real free speech.

wcangel Free speech is nice however when that "free speech" results in people being attacked because of their religious views, sexuality etc ... then that "free speech" violates the other much more important one .... human rights and respect.

I would think that our experience right here would be an argument against assuming that anything that Google provides can be absolutely relied on to "keep working"... I've already begun shifting the things I can away from Google dependence.

Summary: There are several alternatives to Google Plus, either presently available, like MeWe, or in development, like Open Book.
There are also G+ groups for discussing options and developing strategies, like Google+ Mass Migration.
I am, as you all know, the main free society organizer on this social platform and also the main Buddhist teacher.
I have provided classical Buddhist teaching to five point nine million people [ G+ group memberships ] on many groups.
I do a lot of other communication work here as well, for example in public health and complementary medicine.
I have now done outreach for Google Plus migration work to over seventeen million one hundred thousand G+ memberships on various G+ groups.
I maintain a G+ collection for platform migration, Google Plus Migration.
My social outreach work here will continue for another several days.
It is not possible to do this kind of outreach on any other social platform for multiple reasons.
Now is the time to prepare for setting up individual accounts, groups, and social connectivity on other platforms.
Much work is being done in this specific area and there are two G+ groups for these discussions.
It is very possible that many people will choose to migrate their online social networking from Google plus to a set of platforms rather than just one platform.
In some cases content providers have established their own platform.
I expect to move most of my social content and public service work to places like MeWe, reddit, and Pinterest.
This new set of tools is a far weaker set of capabilities and resources than the Google Plus platform presently offers, particularly for what I do.
Obviously, no real work can be done on either Fascistbook or Twitter.
Fascistbook is spyware and pure evil.
The loss of G+ is catastrophic for global communication in several categories.
To do global communication several fundamental characteristics are necessary.
One of these is multiple language support.
In particular, Japanese, Chinese, Russian, Hindi and western languages must be supported for any social platform to be a global platform.
MeWe now supports ten languages. This is a recent and most welcome change. MeWe is now a world-class platform.
MeWe social network grew 400% in 2018 with rapid growth predicted for 2019
With the closing of Google+ on April 2nd, more users are looking for a new social network home and many are choosing the MeWe social network.

Looks like MeWe supports TEN languages.
There are formal legal definitions for hate speech and for free speech. As in United States law, the definition I would use.
Threatening people or groups is Never Ever allowed by the First Amendment, nor by any real free speechers.
Including me, the main free speecher by far on this platform.
Hate speech laws, for example in England and Germany, work against basically all human rights organizers.
I just posted yesterday about a Brit woman human rights organizer who was kicked off Twitter. . .for transgressing PAKISTANI hate speech laws.

As for you and your platform, that sounds quite useless for REAL communication concerning societies and peoples and cultures unless there is real free speech. Including and especially for difficult issues. Like slavery and gang rape and assassination and mass murder and slaughter of journalists.
From what I indirectly hear, Discord is a Non Free Speech platform.
You are saying that the platform YouME does Not claim to be a free speech platform, but rather a Political Correctness Platform.
So noted.
But without free speech there is no philosophy, no inquiry, no debate, no democracy, and no western civilization.
It's that simple.
The Stalinists and the Nazis and the Islamists have their forms of political correctness too. They really know how to deplatform people, for example by shooting them.
There is no such thing as a "Right To Not Be Offended".

It's also why so many Europeans have no idea what is going on in Europe. Their media and social media platforms are heavily censored.

The same free speech provisions support homosexuals and Marxists and Islamists. . .to a substantial degree.
Not just the evil civic nationalists [ = patriots ] like Hungarian PM Viktor Orban, or Geert Wilders, or myself, the main human rights activist on this social platform.
Not just the evil Christians who refuse to individually craft wedding cakes for homosexual marriages, and get taken to court. And win.
The Christians have First Amendment rights of free speech and freedom of religion.
If you lose either free speech or freedom of belief then you lose both.

There are few of us, and quite commonly we are losing.
We free speechers already lost the United Kingdom and Germany.
Which is a major reason why western Europe will fall within one hundred forty years.
Many many people are perfectly willing to throw away free speech and western civilization.
For example, in the US some sixty percent of all college age females reject free speech. They will make good Cultural Marxists.
I have given real evidence and real reasoning here. Perhaps it will make no sense to you.
Jack Dorsey of Twitter clearly has no concept of free speech. I saw an interview with him and one of his high powered lawyers. They are both clueless.
Jack thinks that Twitter is not an American corporation bur somehow bound by Pakistani Sharia law! What an idiot!
I often call people on this platform the M word. When I get into an argument with someone I usually correct their atrocious spelling and grammar, and I call them a muggle.
But that is just a statement of fact: a muggle is just a muggle.
People like me, wizardkind, are a very tiny minority.
And we have no right to live under Islamic law.
Nor to deal with these bad guys on major social media, like Facebook or Twitter.
Twitter is proven to be pro-Islamic. Twitter is a Sharia law platform, as I have shown here.
Today I have now reached seventeen point six million in my outreach for G+ platform migration. I am the major player here, the main social media wizard on this platform.
I let people know that, and also made know my G+ collection Google Plus Migration.
That post was yesterday struck down by some troll moderator on this group. And it was an important technical post, because it included word of the new massive failure of Facebook "security".
So the strikedown was really counter-productive.
Here's the real story. The good guys are gonna win. That clearly includes MeWe, and it includes me.
Because real communication needs real free speech.

Ja!... Ich verstehe, dass es im Vergleich noch ein Baby ist. Ich sah schon die ersten Anlagen für eine zukünftige Übersetzer Möglichkeit. Und ich sah schon einige sehr interessante Leute mit freiheitlichem Geist, dort. Deshalb werde ich es im Auge behalten und mich auf die zukünftigen Verbesserungen freuen!!
Vielleicht gelingt es dir, bei deinem Baby, Schnittstellen einzubauen, damit die Bewohner sich auch von dort, gegenseitig mit den Menschen im dezentralen Netzuniversum verbinden können.
Es wäre ein wunderbarer freiheitlicher Gedanke, mein Freund und wenn ich das Symbol deiner Plattform betrachte, so auch eine naheliegende Idee!! ;))
