Thank you for all the suggestions offered by this group. I really appreciate it. I signed up for tests accounts on many of them. I've decided to go with Tumblr.

I recently opened a Tumblir account and think it is more like g+ and well superior than the dismal mewe. I can't take myself serious on mewe, it's like Emoji land.
ReplyDeleteI tried MeWe too and decided it wasn't for me. Another thing I like about Tumblr is you can allow visitors to your profile to submit their own post.
ReplyDeleteFor example, it someone submitted a post on my profile and tagged it #environment — then when someone visited my profile and clicked the 'environment' link at the top of my profile, it would load all the posts tagged environment.
I guess, in this way, it's kinda' like forming a community if you wanted to. I've got that option removed right now, until I learn more about the Tumblr user base.
We've been nurtured in a relationship for a while, and all was fine, even had a little one, or two, then came the divorce papers, with no chance of custody.

Has the tumblr drama as of late (in the news) died down any?

Mind you, every website forum posting has been hit with a range of issues.
Rudy Flower I think up until this year, Tumblr was being over run by people posting porn. Least that’s what what I heard. Then Tumblr decided to clean up and put the porno accounts on notice.

Rudy Flower yeah, it was a few months back regarding deleting a bunch of accounts for content. I'm sure you can still look for it. Didn't Verizon buy tumblr?

G+ has been inundated with porn the last few months, it's been horrible!
Brad Borland I heard something about that, but then also heard it was owned by Yahoo. I really don't know.

ReplyDeleteSteve MacLellan Verizon Media brought it and when Apple remove it for sexual content Tumblr banned porn like contnt which then everyone left. So now it is basicly Youtube with images, Tumblr robots are really bad what is consider sexual
ReplyDeleteI'm not really into video, even on news sites. Most times I can scan an article and get what I want out of it in a minute or two, rather than waste 5-10 minutes watching someone read it to me.
ReplyDeleteThat being said, my interests are in environmental issues and politics, mostly. I didn't start looking for people on Tumblr, who share my interests, until late last night, but I've already found a few. I think it will be a a positive experience.
Just be careful with Tumblr. A photo of a bare finger will get you in trouble.
