#signalflare #gplusrefugees You can join many of us in the Fediverse with community forums, news feeds, collections, groups, and full integration with export to Wordpress, Blogger, Tumblr, and import/export mirror to Twitter and pump.io. No need to wait for features to be developed. Latest software release this month with a new release scheduled soon. We are the Free Social Network decentralized and federated with Diaspora, Mastodon, Hubzilla, Friendica, and more. We are 2.6 million strong and growing. There is no one single authority or company. We are not a walled garden. As long as users exist we all exist together as one. The power is in the hands of the users. No ads, no BS, no hate speech allowed. Follow the quick tips to get started.

  3. Ich werde im März das Friendica nehmen und freue mich schon heute, dort G+ Freunde wiederzusehen, die dort jetzt schon eine neue Heimat haben. ;))

  4. Shelenn Ayres - if I sign up to Friendica now, and set up my own Hubzilla node later, how easy is it to sync the accounts/channels?

  5. Derek Lichter Not sure what your goal is but the developers of both are primarily the same folks. They have different use cases making them complementary products. They both support most of the federated protocols but their features and user interfaces are different.

There is nothing that says you cannot have both - many people do as I may in the future also. Hubzilla and Friendica are fully federated so they federate with each other as well as other Fediverse and Federation network types like Diaspora, Mastodon, etc.

Being "federated" means supporting federated protocols so users can connect with other users no matter the network type. If you have an account on two network types for example, you can connect with, be a fan of, subscribe, or follow yourself (whatever lingo is used).
