Do you think the concept of Google+ would succeed if a private developer(s) took it and enhance it with the same concept, features, and functionalities?

I was wondering why it wasn't copied? It looks promising.

Comments

  1. Bill Pusztai why? They are closing it down. They are a banding the whole project. Plus, it wouldn't be an identical site, just the concept. There are tons of sites similar to a great extend to Facebook.

  2. Khaled Alaghil They aren't actually shutting it down. They are closing it to the general public, but keeping it open for paying corporate customers. That's why they'd likely sue to protect it.

Also, it would take probably years to build a work-alike site that wasn't directly based on G+.

  3. Janet Logan you are right, I forgot about the business version.
