Google statement on G+ API Shutdown

Google+ APIs will be shut down on March 7, 2019. This includes Google+ Sign-in. Learn more.

Google+ integrations for web and mobile apps will also cease to function March 7, 2019. Learn more.

This will be a progressive shutdown, with intermittent failures starting as early as January 28, 2019.

  4. Thomas Rohde The API is a part of Google+. It is NOT the full G+ site.

    This means that third-party apps accessing Google+, websites, and several other tools may lose functionality as of 28 January, and will stop working by 7 March, 2019. Google+ itself will continue to function "through April", though Google have been persistently vague as to when in April it will shut down.

    Earlier statements about the (since revised) August shutdown suggested the end of the month, although this has not been clearly stated.

    One of many points of clarification that have been requested of Google.
