From what I can see it is an Austrian non-profit but registered the site in Germany, GDPR compliant, open source single authority software, with heavy use of money making (marketing) integration with corporate entities. But they are transparent about it. The single authority aspect is a turn off for me - but otherwise it looks very much like CMS tool known as Community Builder used by small to large groups for organizing and social media. I don't see any notion of federating but developers may be open to that.
