G+ shutdown solution for minority G+ community owner

If you are an owner of a big community, you can go to anywhere. But, many G+ community owner can't do it. Also, it's not easy to find nice social media. So, this is a my solution for you.

A view of functional aspect, Tumblr is perfect. You can get same things with G+ collection, also filter for community.

But, it's not enough when you think a view of promotion aspect. So, I recommend 'Minds', 'Twitter' as a promotion tool for your tumblr. Also, I recommend 'Facebook' or 'MeWe' as a sub tool for your tumblr community.

You may think you don't need this kind of lot of things for your community or your profile. It may enough with one social media.

What I want to say is, there is a solution for you. I guess Google will delete G+ for their money via YouTube. But, there is many information on G+. And It's not an information. It's a culture. It shows your dream, your love.

  1. After what tumblr just did I would not trust them with anything.

  2. Is Tumblr still going on? I deleted my account there many years ago after art theft issues.

  3. stefan holzhauer tumblr didn’t do anything, the US government did. Everybody else is about to follow.

  4. In the US probably. International? Not so much.

  5. stefan holzhauer no, everywhere. Because just like GDPR this affects anyone who does business in the US, not just those headquartered there (which is already most of the internet, anyway).

  6. From a commercial point of view, probably. From a users point of view this is quite different.

  7. stefan holzhauer how so? Unless your hubzilla instance or whatever is a) in the EU b) IP blocks all US connections and c) does not federate with servers in the US, it’ll be affected. You’re basically going to be posting to ghost towns.

  8. So I route it through an encrypted vpn. My IP can do nothing about it. I even could obfuscate who owns the domain by using an anonymization service like Njalla.

  9. stefan holzhauer .... That would be fucking stupid, now wouldn’t it? I didn’t say the US would block you, I said you would need to block the US. Unless you like bankruptcy, of course.
