I don't think that Minds is a secure platform. They claim to encrypt your posts but on the other hand they say that they share your data with companies and even politicians. Plus, the encryption is critisized by some experts.
It definitely falls under the "free speech" banner.. Groups like "Jihadist Countermeasures" (with over 3 million views) and many others live there and actively promote the harm and outright killing of ALL Muslims. (No exaggeration, check it out yourself). Now you can easily block the people there, but that just means you cannot see their posts.. They can still see yours.. And comment on yours.. meaning they could be sniping your posts with comments and you won't know it.. but everyone else reading the comments on your post will. Also sponsored content shows at the top of your feed every time you log in.. Sponsored content from other users and groups.. such as "Jihadist Countermeasures" and the like. You CAN make it go away.. by paying a monthly fee through cryptocurrency.. That sounds like the worst thing in the world, but.. you can earn cryptocurrency by people actually viewing your posts (hence why people sponsor posts). So while not a lot, in theory people can actually earn money on this platform. Easily enough to stop the sponsored content at the very least.
Yeah, I'm allergic to drama. This sounds like something I'd better avoid 🤣. I'm very picky with what I allow to rent space in my mind/heart and If it costs me my peace it's too expensive. People online these days seem to forget, conveinantly, that responsibility that goes along with freedom of speech--saying what they want behind a screen like cowards. These same people would probably never say things to people face to face.
