ReplyDeleteI just did one community out of 87 that Google+ Exorter recognized, almost 6,000 post and 13.8K comments, and it took 3 hours 13 minutes from downloading the update to finish of importing into Blogger
Andrew Hatchett Any problem with photo sizes in that blogger import? I just tried one photo-heavy collection with the previous version and the first couple of blogger posts had the photos trying to display at full size. I haven’t submitted a G+E bug report yet as I was trying to figure out if I did something wrong.

ReplyDeleteWhat I've noticed is that it tends to be graphics I've created myself that tend to be outsized. Regular photoos and screen shots seem ok.
I thought it may be something I'm doing when using Pixlr :)
I've purchased this software and used it on my personal g+ account.
ReplyDeleteIt was pretty easy - easier than Take out. Import into Blogger went smoothly (but not perfectly - there were some minor snags)
One caveat: Any private G+ posts will be imported into Blogger. Or rather, this tool doesn't seem to distinguish between public posts and private post. ALL posts get exported and there doesn't seem to be any actionable meta data visible to easily distinguish private post from public post for easy removal from Blogger.
An easy fix would be to tag (or whatever it is that Blogger calls it) private posts so that they can be dealt with in the Blogger interface.
Maybe I'm missing something.
All in all though - money well spent.
Anyone have experience using Google+ Exporter to move to a WordPress site? I'm thinking of moving my stuff to A2 Hosting and using WordPress for new stuff.
