ReplyDeleteal m Any chance of making that group publicly visible for us non-facebooker?
ReplyDeleteEdward Morbius Heh...If I knew how to do that, I certainly would.
ReplyDeleteAny suggestions?
Edward Morbius Before this G+MM com is laid to rest, I will post my story...challenges, insights, future etc this sunsetting has initiated.
ReplyDeleteI never saw myself as one to really take an interest with social sites. G+ simply worked and I was happy.
Since I learned of the sunsetting, I quickly realized I had a lot to learn.
I've read the majority of posts/threads here which has really influenced me. Not with obvious marketing per se, but with the understanding I need to investigate and initiate my own, as well as others understanding of what to do along with options.
I'll get that post up over the next month or so. Surely before notifications are gone.
I will say here, and state it again, the most helpful person I've met on G+ who's taught me so much is John R. Ellis.
ReplyDeleteThe group is ask to join, so content isn't public, unless I login to FB.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I spent a LOT of time learning the ins and outs of G+, tips and tricks, testing out the changes and work arounds and sharing what I found with people who had problems they needed to solve. Water under the bridge as they say - I am sad to see it go and have not found anything equivalent. I have not checked out YouMe yet though.
ReplyDeleteal m I suggest you make one public post with closed comments, as a landing page, inviting new people to join.
ReplyDeleteJohn R. Ellis Yes, you certainly gave me personal attention with help far too many times to count. Thanks ;)
ReplyDeleteI've moved to YouMe.social along with evilbook facebook.
https://youme.social/
Diana Studer How does that help exactly?
ReplyDeleteal m Presumably, it can be made public.
ReplyDeleteal m one public post gives visitors at least that information - instead of you must join to see, if you want to join - which puts people off.

ReplyDeleteDiana StuderDiana Studer The Meetup is not restricted, simply ask to join. Posts can be seen regardless.
I'm a newbie with how to do certain things on fb. For instance, I don't think I've created any posts for my own timeline and mostly always stay in groups.
Saying this, I took your advice and created a public post.
Thanks. Not sure it will even work.
Oh, apparently it does. Thanks.
Here's another way to see the post without actually joining the group.

al m Well done. (I am on FB. I was in your group but prefer the discussions here)
