I just noticed that the Instagram account of a friend of mine hacked - went to his FB profile and saw his update. It is true that instagram is NOT HELPING AT ALL during such a thing.

I regret time and energy I've invested to instagram every time when I see such things.

  1. Wow! That's eye-opening and good to know the potential lack of assistance on IGs part.

  2. I downloaded the app the day it became available for Android but deleted it the next day (without having opened an account) when it was announced that Facebook bought Instagram.

  4. Well, I am using Instagram now, to support and promote my blog. It may have been bought by F******k, but it is not F******k: it hasn't generated that same sort of mass hysteria that I found so off-putting from the start. And, nowadays, you do need to "promote" a blog: people are simply unaccustomed to logging into various web pages, and many browsers no longer offer RSS capability (although various third-party downloads are available).
