Takeout Stalled

Takeout Stalled

Can anyone do a takeout right now? I'm trying to get g+stream.activitylog to check something about blogger comments and it won't budge.

Either its overloaded, or I keep adding comments and that's confusing it. Previously and before late yesterday's mass influx it only took a couple of minutes.

The mass email has completely overloaded the G+Help community. I wonder if it's also completely overloaded the Takeout system.

Comments

  1. It took my partner a few tries to get takeout to work. He's gotta go back and start mine again today.

  2. It runs fine. It just tells me that it has errors and is missing files.

  3. In the other hand. The third party Google+ Exporter has a few stumbles, but quitting and restarting picked up where it left off. And the output is actually usable.

  4. I'm currently running a profile takeout which is just about the smallest one you can do. And it's been stuck for an hour now. I think the system is broken under load. If that is the case, I can't say I'm surprised. But it doesn't look good for Mar 31 and anyone who wants to get one last download before it's all turned off.

  5. Kee Hinckley ignore the error and download the archive. When you unpack it, you'll find inside an index.html that lists all missing files for manual download. Most of the times it's only one or two files.

  6. More people reporting Takeout has stalled.

  7. I've requested a takeout yesterday and after some hours it was delivered, everything worked fine, just a minor scanning error I think. Probably I got it done before the mass email from Google.

  8. I haven't been able to get a takeout to complete at all for about 48 hours now. I think it's completely broken.

I've mainly been trying to find out what happens to comments I've made in blogger comments sections that had G+Comments turned on. Because tomorrow (4-Feb) that information will be lost. Maybe it will still exist in the Google cloud and maybe it will still be available to Takeout, but it won't be visible in the blogger UI.
