ahem (Heard that before somewhere?)

Originally shared by Google+

We heard your questions about the Google+ shutdown and want to help clarify what will go away with the shutdown of Google+ for consumers on April 2nd. No other Google products (such as Gmail, Google Photos, Google Drive) will be shut down as part of the consumer Google+ shutdown, and the Google Account you use to sign in to these services will remain. Note that photos and videos backed up in Google Photos will not be deleted.

Thank you for sharing your questions with us and for more information please check out this article on our Help Center or this list of frequently asked questions.

  1. Q: Will Google+ shutdown impact the Google Play Services Public Beta Program?

A: As we begin shutting down Google+, users who have opted in to the Google Play Services Public Beta Program may experience issues using Google apps like Gmail and Hangouts. To avoid any interruptions in service, users can leave the Beta Program.
