Here's another Survival Tip for post-consumer Google+:
Be sure that every non-domain-restricted community has owners from multiple G suite domains to keep them from going away, should something happen to the account of the community owner.
I tried to plus-mention Cade Roux (owner of this community), but for some reason it keeps showing me a different profile.

Moderators can be promoted to owner after 2 weeks.
ReplyDeleteCade Roux: right. That's why I was forcing last owners (my friends) of some communities to make me soon Mod and then Owner before April 2nd.
ReplyDeleteBut now see I am owner of those communities but all consumers' posts are gone anyway... :-(
Cade Roux There doesn't seem to be a delay any more. I just created a new community, and promoted the first member to moderator, and then to owner a few seconds later.
ReplyDeleteBrian Holt Hawthorne is that on webhttps://lh3.googleusercontent.com/nYZ1CTDKirWkqj7QeSv772jzd6no0UwLZNokIoUo6_acyeN054gOhuH1YfIiJ1jPcZQJL55-SAmcr8YLQiReujA55Y3rXtIe2FSZ=s0
ReplyDeleteCade Roux It may have been on the iOS app. If you want to join the Survivors community (https://plus.google.com/u/0/communities/107908674157091918716) I will see if I can promote you to an owner,

I just tested it on the web, and successfully promoted a member to moderator and then moderator to owner with no problem.
