Re-Following necessary

So it looks like you have to re-follow people, even if you were following them before the G+ Rapture...

  1. Unless you used a GSuite account and they did, too, yes. Likely at least one of you used a Consumer Account. So, this is an account I never used before now.

  2. Eli Fennell I was going through my circles and there are a bunch of people still listed there. However, none of them - not even the GSuite peeps - show up in the "Following" list above.

As for you, gotcha - makes sense I had to re-follow you then.

  4. Yup, shows I only follow 9 people - all people I found here and started following yesterday and today.

  5. I have been using this GSuite account for many years, and I'm seeing posts in my home stream, which I assume are from people in my circles (although I haven't checked specifically).

Note that Circles and Collections will be going away in G+ (although other, more business-focused features will be added, which I expect to start seeing those pretty soon, as I expect Google have been holding off any changes until after the sunset).

    Here's what's changing:

    Highlights:

    Collections

    Last updated: April 2, 2019

Collections will continue to exist on April 2, 2019, but will start being phased out in the future.

G Suite users won’t be able to:

Create new collections. Any existing collections will remain.

Add content to a collection that is not domain-restricted.

G Suite users will still be able to:

Add content to a collection that is domain-restricted.

Delete internal and external collections that they own.

    Circles

Circles will continue to exist on April 2, 2019, but will start being phased out in the future.

G Suite users won’t be able to:

    Create new circles.

Add people without a Google+ account to existing circles.

Share a post to a circle.

G Suite users will still be able to delete their circles.

After the consumer shutdown, non-G Suite users will be removed from circles.
