I found out last weekend that my 2-greats grandparents were French Canadian (family names Kendaller dit Quintal and Charron). And one of their children married a guy whose mother emigrated to Canada, gave birth to him, and then moved to the US. So... kinda Canadian? A little? As one half-Canadian student of mine said, "You've got a little maple syrup in your veins."
