As a result Google's decision to terminate public access to G+, this will be true for any G+ member that has not paid for a G Suite account. Google+ public mode is still in the process of shutting down. It is possible the G+ links will go dead for G Suite members, too, eventually. Only Google knows what the plan is. Meanwhile, this is the twilight zone.
"Large" communities of survivors are puny by G+ standards. About 100 members or less.
