So I added everyone in the list Eli Fennell made (or attempted to anyway, following still seems a little buggy), and now my stream is busy than it's been in quite some time. 😄

  2. Yeah I started doing it too but it wasn't showing the button changing. However I still seem to see the posts in my feed now. I'm guessing it's an issue because they're outside our domains and G Suite is not really supposed to work like that.

  3. Kathryn Marie Actually, it supposed to work that way, in fact their product roadmap called for improving cross-org communication. I'm guessing the real issue was how Google went about deleting Google+ data. Because GSuite users lost all their cross-org followers, even those who are also GSuite users, I deduce that there was no way for Google to sort out which connections were GSuite ones and which weren't, so they nuked them all. They are, in fact, still nuking them all as we speak. So the system is probably all fucked up right now.

  4. Eli Fennell okay, that makes sense. I guess we have to give it a month or so to see how it plays out.

Was that the initial roadmap before consumer G+ was to be shut down, or after that announcement?

  5. I re-read that post, Eli Fennell , and I'm wondering if "cross-org" means across the organization, not intra-org.

  6. Either way, I do think Google wants folks who need to, to be able to engage across domains. So I have high hopes we won't lose the ability to Follow and Share with each other cross-domain as we are doing now.

  7. Is it just me or is it kind of exciting to be developing our own little community and rising up against the shutdown? 😋

GF asked me "what's that ding?"
I said someone following me on G+.
"But I thought that was shut down"

I explained the situation, she called us all nerds 😂
