If you're familiar with an alternative to Google Plus - particularly if it's a relatively obscure service - please consider posting an entry here to tell our members what that alternative is like.

It would be great if you could include screenshots, and describe some of the details of how you use the service. Tell us what you like about it. You can certainly talk about flaws, too.

If possible, please include the #WhatItsLike hashtag. Thanks!

  2. I encountered today an emerging new social network at open-book.org.
they emphasize privacy and security, and also invest in migration tools from other places.
I asked them to contact google in order to consider a mass migration. it has to take not only the users' data itself, but also the groups, the collections, and the relationships among them all.

  3. Alex Bodnaru I guess the main problem for anyone (incubators projects, etc) is to have a proper measurement of how much data will be need in the warehouse computing machinery ... so they can calculate the cost of management

  4. Andre Amorim and also to judge just how viable their funding methodology is, how much at risk they are of being taken over by some larger entity, and just how durable their business model is.
