For the nostalgic ones: #ShowMeYourFirstGooglePlusPost

  1. .
It was after a very frustrating night trying to get Windows Server installed on an HP server.
    My first G+ post was a psuedo-haiku:

Since I shared it with only myself, I don't know if it's visible to any of you. Since you might not be able to, I'll just read what I replied to a reshare: "All of our minds are defective. We should all learn to deal with it, until the light brain fixer is finished." Somewhat edgy, and very stupid, and nonsensical. Would come to encapsulate a lot of the random garbage I posted until I stopped posting to my profile other than every few months.

  3. Too bad I can't open it, Void of Space and Time.

  4. Gerhard Torges I quoted it because the reshare I was responding to is deleted anyways.

  5. Void of Space and Time ...take a screen shot of it and share that...

  6. Other than mindlessly scrolling for ages, how do I find it?

    ReplyDelete
  7. Easily, Andrea Borgia. Just type …

    from:me before:YYYY-MM-DD

… into the search box, setting the date (YYYY-MM-DD) appropriately.

  8. ...one of G+'s gaping shortcomings has always been a frustrating inability to easily search through and retrieve your own older posts. If you know any key words you put in it, you could try searching on that. Otherwise, buckle up and keep paging/scrolling down till you get to the bottom. Realizing this, I got proactive early on, and started keeping a log of links to my posts in an offline file, for easy access...

  9. Gerhard Torges ...I stand corrected! (...and knowing that was definitely something that would have saved me lots of time and stress a few years ago. But also better late than never, amirite?!! )

  10. Gerhard Torges ...one question - is there a variant of the command for a range of dates?

    ReplyDelete
  11. This works, too:

    from:me after:2018-09-11 before:2018-10-10

    Happy searching, Pat Johnston!

  12. Gerhard Torges ...thank you - you just made my day a wee bit more cheerful than it otherwise would have been!!

  13. I surprisingly can't find it. Probably cause i started posting in a community for my first year or two before I realized what the feed button was XD

  15. Does the community still exist, Sweet B-rox Sunrise?
    Are you still a member?

    ReplyDelete
  16. Gerhard Torges Yea its still here. I've looked for my first post there back in 2016 but still couldn't find it.

Its funny cause I'm an expert at finding everyone else's first post but not my own XD

  17. Did you block yourself accidentally, Sweet B-rox Sunrise? 🤪

    ReplyDelete
  18. Gerhard Torges Pfft I hope not XD
I actually had to swap accounts when we transfered to the new G+. My old account was glitching out and sending me to this one all the time
