Chronological Streams
One of the nice things about Diaspora (I'm on pluspora.com BTW) is that you get chronological streams. That's what I missed here at G++ from the beginning on.
What does "chronological" mean? If you scroll through your notification list until you see the last article you looked at earlier, you know that you saw them all and didn't miss one. Because they are listed chronologically and not randomly as Google thought to be a clever way of doing this.

Yes. And there is not a stupid algorithm which decides what is good for me or not.
ReplyDeleteG+ Circle streams are chronological...
ReplyDeleteOnly I would like some more control. Like, mixing my stream from several input feeds (single contacts, grouped contacts, hashtags) and tune the volume of each input feed separately. So allowing me to balance better what I get to see.
ReplyDeleteBecause, when I see 100% of all my contacts and hashtags, the loudest dominate and flood my stream so much that they hide the posts of the others.
Christa Runge you can get Atom (i.e. RSS) feeds per contact. And look at the left side of the expanded notification pane, where you can see more details, e.g. mentions, mentions in comments, reshares, all separately.
ReplyDeleteJürgen Christoffel sounds like a good idea. I'll look into it.
