MeWe
Sometimes pictures are worth a thousand words.
Look at the screenshots to get an impression
how MeWe’s groups (similar to G+ communities) work.
Moderators (a very essential part of a well-running social network) can basically do the same things like they von do on G+. The main difference currently is that there are no categories.
On the left side you see a pinned post in which I wrote down the purpose of the community and the rules.
I'm happy with MeWe.
ReplyDeleteFrederica Mussolini Me too. What’s also quite interesting is that they will implement a lot of useful features soon, as Jason Hardy, product manager, announced.

ReplyDeleteI like the groups on MeWe
ReplyDeleteHashtags do a serviceable job of acting as categories. And it's easy to put posts in multiple categories by using multiple tags.
ReplyDeleteKai Jansson Your storage is for your files, images, etc.

ReplyDeleteNo categories? They have groups as well, so I’m not sure what you mean. I’ve just started using MeWe as a G+ replacement.
ReplyDeleteMike Kennedy A group cannot be subdivided into categories like on G+. But there is a powerful full-text search which maybe the better solution because there are so many posts on G+ which are wrong categorized.
ReplyDeleteJosé Pedro Paula it's in the works.
