There should be a sub-group or whatever for the bargaining phase of our grief.

There should be a sub-group or whatever for the bargaining phase of our grief. I mean increasingly desperate schemes to keep G+ alive.
Toward that, I noticed Neil Gaiman made his first public post here in years , a few days ago.
So here's my cunning plan: Get Mr. G and/or other famous authors to start writing serial fiction exclusively on G+ !!

(Sorry for dragging you into this, Neil.)

  1. You know, that's not a bad idea. Not so much on G+ but serial fiction written and consumed exclusively on social media. I wonder how that might differ from more traditional forms?

  2. We should be cognizant of the stages of grief.
    Agreed.

  4. Timothy Collins I'm sure it's been done. I've discovered that every seemingly (to me) brilliant idea I've had over the past decade had not only been had by others, it was already available on t-shirts. (The one that made me finally realize this: "One does not simply warg into Hodor!")

  5. just john It'd have to be done in a interactive way somehow... It couldn't just be a story told in posts but a story that evolves based on the give and take of social media...

I wonder - it might almost be more of a stage play that works the audience and interacts with it than a traditional storytelling thing.

    You have me thinking now.

  6. Timothy Collins Here's an example of the concept: lawsandsausagescomic.com - Laws and Sausages - 806 No official t-shirts yet, that I can see.

  7. The stories are already there in our pages, communities, people. That’s one the reason they are shutting us down. Our g+ family is the best and most influential people on the internet.

  8. 7seven7 Okay, the conspiracy theory reaction to the shutdown announcement is one we should have seen coming. (As is the ironic claim of a conspiracy ..)
