What about minds.com?

Closest to G+ I've seen so far is http://minds.com - it feels almost like a clone of G+. What do other think about it? Specifically, any disqualifying aspects of the business model of the company, survival prospects of the platforms etc.?

  1. nah. look at the concept of "boosted" content. basically anyone who wants to pay can inject into your experience. I thought it looked good at first but changed my mind. MeWe seems to be shaking out as the contender

  2. Michael Hazen Ah, that could be a deal breaker. I'll dig deeper. That's what FB does though. There has to be an economic model behind any of this for the provider of the platform, unless you run some software locally and contribute resources to run the platform. So for example if those posts are clearly flagged as paid for and there is < 10% of them in your stream, I'd be fine.

  3. It seems to be at least somewhat known by my current community so I'll have to give it a shot.
