Central Texas. I had a brief flutter of failure around 22:00 where I was seeing 3 in the Jingles icon up top but then no notifications when I pulled it down. It seems to have resolved.
My guess is that it was transitory and/or only part of the user-base.
Naw. Teh GOOG are just gaslighting you specifically today, DL Keur. Feel the love.
Probably just a glitch in the matrix. I'd be very surprised if there was a major curtailment of service before April/May 2018. Likely starting with new account / community formation or something like that.

ReplyDeleteNope - i got 5 in just the past few minutes. Probably a transient problem.
ReplyDeleteNope. G+ has always occasionally borked notifications. I'm getting mine currently.
ReplyDeleteMaybe because those were notifications for collections and communities that have since been deleted in the wake of the news.
ReplyDeleteSeem somewhat delayed, but still receiving them!!
ReplyDeleteWell, mine are down to a trickle.
ReplyDeleteI seem to be getting all of mine.
ReplyDeleteIt's very possibly regional. Central Europe is reporting "works for me".
ReplyDeleteI'm in the US midwest, FWIW.
ReplyDeleteWorking in central Canada for me.
ReplyDeleteIt'll be the same until August 2019.... Then they'll just pull the plug 🔌🔌🔌🔌🔌🔌🔌🔌🔌🔌

Mine are fine. Notifications have always been flaky.
ReplyDeleteI've been noticing that images on links are not displaying
ReplyDeleteYes, I am having problems with notifications, as always, but it's getting worse atm. (on desktop)

They're "eventually consistent" :-D
ReplyDeleteJuha Lindfors * May not be suitable for use near event horizons.
ReplyDeleteMine are sort of back, not like they were, though.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely communities are slower. They have started degrading the experience to "facilitate" us moving out.
ReplyDeleteIt's the social media equivalent of your landlord cutting off water and electricity to your flat...
Piero FilippIN YEah. Those were my thoughts, too.
