At the moment, one foot on Pluspora, one on MeWe. Not to repeat my missives on what I'm experiencing, I'd just say I'm finding strengths & weaknesses in both, in terms of seamless posts/comments/messaging as a cohesive platform. A lot of "refugees" on both, with different "feel" in terms of larger-screen display (2 vs. 3 columns) and ability to comment, edit, organize into "groups" or albums, etc. I've had more of an "organic" welcoming and intro to interesting, talented people on Plus/Diaspora, while MeWe (its refugees from FB booting and all) was initially stark but pretty, until joining a few photography groups, and now I see a "feed" - and get (all sorts of) invites to connect. Some talent there too, along with the sketchier aspects. Early stages... we shall see.
For the curious, there are basically two front-runners, you can guess which ones, and facebook trailing behind with almost everything else showing some amount of lower level interest.

ReplyDeleteI will join https://www.openbook.social/en/home and start again the same way, I've started with Google+;-)
ReplyDeletePlease just respond in the poll. I don't want a discussion, yet, about the merits and flaws of the different decisions.

ReplyDeleteI will keep this poll open for all of Monday and then post the results. I don't think anyone will be surprised by the findings.
