Does anyone know how to backup one’s entire profile or community?
I’ve put a lot of work into a lot of things that I care a lot about
And saving each of these individually would not be possible before G+ closes.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you

takeout.google.com - but don't get your hopes up too high, it's there, but it fails a lot (many are trying i guess) and it's clunky as S#¤t!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
ReplyDeleteSentifray 19073 no problem... -and good luck :)
ReplyDeleteI looked at it, and it takes profiles
ReplyDeleteWhat about a community?
There was a community that I helped lead for four years, is there any way to save that?
There should be an option to select communities, even specific ones.

Sentifray 19073 Nope. And as people delete their profiles stuff will just vanish from your community. I guess you could write a tool to scrape it all off the web browser, ibut that;s probably the only real way to do so.
ReplyDeleteSubmit your profile and those communities to web.archive.org

ReplyDeleteThat’s only getting the past few weeks for me
I’m looking to save four year’s worth of data
Sentifray 19073 maybe HTTrack then. The first portion of the URL should have an identifier in it for the community.
