no, you really do know. Google has killed countless other projects that had more active users than g+ still does. You have 10 months or whatever they said and then it will be gone.
TBH, since they're willing to offer it to business users, they should be willing to offer it as a tiered paid service or ad-supported if on the free tier.
Luki I'm pretty confident that the breach story is just a cover, an excuse. The whole story could be made up. They want to shut G+ down.
On the other hand, I feel your pain. G+ was perfect for me. Now I have to start over yet again. Altho, it's not a complete disaster. Some of my plusser friends are gathering over on MeWe.
Phillip Landmeier It's ALL a cover to get rid of hangouts because they'd rather dump it than try to add any features to compete with signal, telegram, etc.
I've just been on this site for almost 5 years, and I have some friends here who aren't allowed to have any other social medias. It's the same situation for them, too, and nobody really wants to lose G+ anyways. All I want to do is help.
Google cancelling service closure has never happened in history before. Once they announced the end of their products/services, 100% chance it will happen regardless what the loyal users do to stop them.
"it's worth the try" isn't true. They absolutely don't care what anyone else has to say, they've made up their mind. Tilting at windmills isn't a virtue. It's sad. I've been using this since the very beginning and I loved it, but I've been preparing for the end because I've known it was inevitable. Time, Tide, Taxes, and Google cancelling something I love are all sure things. Divert your energy to something worthwhile.

it'll never happen, use that energy for something possible.
ReplyDeleteI mean you never know, it's better safe than sorry honestly. It's a long shot but oh well.

ReplyDeletego on twitter and facebook and the like and comment on posts with the G+ hashtag stating you are from G+ and are mourning. that is what I am doing

ReplyDeleteIt's worth the try, though.
ReplyDeleteNot worth my effort.
ReplyDeleteLuki I said the same thing about Reader. That was a wicked cool product, but they killed it.
ReplyDeletePhillip Landmeier HAH, while you were posting that last comment I was simultaneously posting a new post lamenting Reader also.
