I've been playing with #Minds since I saw it mentioned here. Kinda like it, nice feel to it though still a bit strange in places in terms of interface etc. I like that it's got a similar edge to Patreon where people can support creators by "wiring" them crypto currency to view premium content.
And also that likes and shares mean something more than an ego boost as they all as to your own "tokens" which can be converted into crypto money to boost your posts!
It's nice to have a network that pays YOU instead of the other way around.
Anyway, if you're on there, feel free to subscribe to me: https://www.minds.com/mrlewk

Good you found yourself a new home at Minds. I otoh struggles to activate the 2FA. Account created successfully but none of the dozens of codes they sent to my phone works. It's a turn off. Maybe I'll pay a visit again next year.
ReplyDeleteSorry, the "too many Nazis" thing is a turn-off, and any direct cryptocurrency connection even more so. 😔
ReplyDeleteGreg S too many Nazis??
ReplyDeleteIt's ok I started a week ago . 2 tricks for success
ReplyDelete1. Read the sign in options ...it's username not email and then password ..there's a click to change some sort of code sign in back to email etc . Complicated but when I got stuck for 2 hours and re read it bingo !!!
2. Subscribe to everyone even the Nazis , it allows more posts better home page and fills the contents up . When u have a small following then delete the Nazis
For the record I've seen no Nazis or porn
Paul Cox You don't have to see the Nazis for them to be a problem. And the idea of subscribing to them, even temporarily, for any reason is actively repulsive. Sorry.
ReplyDeleteLol too many issues Greg . Nothing wrong with minds imo
ReplyDeletePaul Cox So you're good with them hosting Nazis and also having access to your cryptocurrency accounts? (I won't even mention the "I've seen no Nazis" bit.)
ReplyDeleteWell so far I'm liking it. There's a few strange groups on there, which is kinda to be expected at first.. but I think if more G+ people move over, and the content creators etc, it will help shape and shift the atmosphere more.
ReplyDeletePlus I like the sort of blend between Patreon and G+ so you can earn crypto from your work
