I've been reading a lot of very interesting (in various ways) posts and comments here about places to go once G+ closes down.
To find a new "home" to post my photos and on occasion music I like, I've been looking at a bunch of places but feel a bit lost at the moment to be honest. Therefore I would like to hear what You All got to say about these various sites.
If you have experience of any of these, I would very much like to hear your valid and honest opinion. The pros and cons. And I will really appreciate it :-)

ReplyDeleteI just had two posts blocked from a G+MM by a moderator who’d had a bad day. The posts were asking for the same thing you are and had 150+ comments in the course of a day, so lots of curiosity and good content in comments re: user experiences. The same stuff you’re looking for. Nevertheless, you might want to check out that community. Lots of technical stuff, but there’s some average user feedback on alternative social networks in there too.

ReplyDeleteBtw, I signed up for Pluspora (30 seconds). It doesn’t want your life story. You can plump up your personal page later. Or not. Your choice.i made one test post. It was easy and the final version was professional looking. It’s got formatting buttons atop the input screen. Almost immediately, someone tapped me, (another brand new member and a G+ refugee.) So I have one follower there. That’s as far as I gone.
I hear a lot about the federation.
Cherch Cherch Yes, that's why I'm posting here at G+MM. I've read a lot of comments about mewe, minds, some about pluspora and a tad about cake. Haven't seen any about the other sites though. Might have missed it though, as there are quite a few posts here at this community.
